I’d always wanted a nice Tartan Dress, but a decent one is so hard to find. I’ve been away from sewing for a while, having previously been an inspector/machinist with Playtex Uk for many years and later an instructor, teaching school leavers basic sewing skills to assist them in to finding work placements. It all comes back to you after a while, but I have to admit, I probably chose the most difficult fabric pattern to work with. Having to line up the fabric was a blast! But, I got there in the end and I have to say I’m delighted with the result. There was eve enough left over to cover an empty wine case and make a little storage box/stool.. The fabric is fantastic and at a bargain price. It’s the Candy Pink Tartan bought from Fabric Land Southampton, where I have to say you have a great bunch of helpful staff. The pattern is McCalls 7352..Thanks Sylvia. https://www.facebook.com/Sewn-By-Sylvia-270919083275248/
