[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]All this dress-making is getting me all excited! The tasks this week involve a lot of patience and an eye for detail when creating delicate lingerie. With demanding challenges, dealing with the fiddliness of pattern pieces and the most delicate fabrics, there’s no room for error.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Bra Construction:

First, you need to follow a pattern for a bra which requires precision engineering and some of the smallest pattern pieces you’ve probably dealt with (unless you’re our regular sewers that live and breathe everything fabric and design). We can provide you with the right soft, fluid fabrics for you to choose from, but this task involves haberdashery and we do love our haberdashery here at Fabric Land so take your pick through our selection of the essential picot, elastic, straps and clips. This entails sewing at its finest with symmetry in mind at all times but can you keep up and finish it within 2 ½ hours?

Lingerie Transformation:

The second task has arrived and the task at hand is to transform 3 scarves into a piece of lingerie within 90 minutes. The requirements are a little strict in the sense that you can add decorative haberdashery, such as trimmings, to your garment but the fabric should be the primary focus. View our online shop and choose your fabric from our selection of silk, chiffon and more. Yet again, this requires patience due to the nature of the delicate fabrics but make sure you perfect that bias in a task such as this one. I found that putting some mild music in the background helps to calm the nerves whilst under pressure with the time limit, see if that works for you.

Luxuriously Made-to-Fit:

This final task entails creating made-to-fit robes with richness and sensual style for your model or mannequin. Having practiced the technicalities of a delicate touch and an eye for detail, you should master this task and create your garment reflecting your identity and personality. Explore all the different patterns and fabrics that we offer and give the finishing touch with a feel for fit to your garment. This time round, go crazy with our haberdashery and give your garment the character it deserves.
