Tips for Buying Sheeting by the Metre: Care, Shrinkage, and Sewing

• Pre-Washing is Key: As a natural fibre, 100% cotton sheeting can shrink slightly on the first wash. We recommend pre-washing your fabric at the temperature you intend to wash the finished garment or linen at.

• Sewing Choice: A standard Universal Needle (size 80/12) and high-quality all-purpose polyester thread are all you need for a perfect stitch on this material.

• Easy Maintenance: Our sheeting is designed for busy households. It is machine washable (usually up to 40°C or 60°C for whites) and can be tumble-dried. For that crisp, “hotel-laundry” feel, iron while the fabric is still slightly damp using a high steam setting.
