Single-sided satin ribbon features a smooth, high-shine satin finish on one side with a flatter, matte finish on the reverse. It is an economical choice for flat trimmings, cardmaking, and craft applications where only one side is visible. Double-sided satin ribbon carries a luxurious, silky sheen on both sides, making it the preferred choice for hair bows, dressmaking sashes, hanging ornaments, and luxury gift wrapping where both sides of the ribbon will be seen.

Yes! While most of our ribbons can be bought by the metre for smaller craft tasks, we also offer convenient Full Spools and Rolls across many of our popular lines—including Organza Rolls and Double Sided Satin Full Rolls. Buying by the full roll is ideal for wedding planners, florists, event decorators, and makers requiring large continuous quantities at fantastic wholesale prices.

To prevent raw ribbon edges from fraying, always use sharp fabric scissors and cut the ends at a 45-degree diagonal angle or in an inverted “V” shape (swallowtail cut). For synthetic ribbons made of polyester or nylon (such as satin, organza, and grosgrain), you can also apply a tiny dot of Fray Stop Glue along the edge, or gently pass the freshly cut edge near a heat source or flame to melt and seal the fibres instantly.
